Can I Kick It?
(The following are values I preach to myself. You might find them useful too.)
Life is hectic. FIGUre it out.
According to the Wu-Tang Clan, "Life as a shorty shouldn't be so rough." But sometimes it is. Embracing the chaos means rolling with the punches and turning setbacks into comebacks. Be unflappable. Keep going.
A LITTLE Bad Taste TasteS good
Legendary fashion editor Diana Vreeland said it best: "A little bad taste is like a nice splash of paprika. We all need a splash of bad taste—it's hearty, it's healthy, it's physical. I think we could use more of it. No taste is what I'm against."
Design is a performance. Act accordingly.
"If you're not having fun, they're not having fun." Richard Pryor gave this universally applicable advice to comedienne Tiffany Haddish when she was a teenager at comedy camp. Our energy and vibrations are contagious. Design is a visual performance, so set the tone with purpose.
